A Class of a Sin ~ wanting to be lost within...

Sounds of Haiku ~ the moments inside us

Show, and tell

Show me haiku sounds
so long and not forgotten
haiku words, pray do tell

a loss to the world
don't give up hope, spring comes
when you least expect

moments too long lost
hold, capture, and keep me there
live without time's bounds

tender flakes abound
powder falls like a promise
to lay unbroken, frozen

Morning rises blue
open eyes, jewels in light
sunrise surrenders

Sleet spoiled snow's visage
Silence rings in the distance
- Cold and Sleep are friends.

When I am lonely
I look for you to be here
Lonely feels empty

I am breathing deep
let me inhale you awhile
come, rest peacefully

day unfolds slowly...
fingertips on a flower
love blooms petal soft

your heart in my hand
trust, as wind carries a leaf
gentle yet gentle

bring me your sad lines
then each line of your sweet skin
fades, patience heals time

time will always win
victory worn proud and true
if such things exist

walk into my room
shed all your inhibitions
like skin, skin on skin

write me a letter
empty your heart....tell me all
find refuge in us

okaeri*

pull back the dust cloths
lay to light surroundings fine,
my heart has missed yours

*welcome home - Japanese informal (pronounced like "Occur Elie")

if I saw your heart
how would it recognise me?
a shadow... blood red

Tilt, balance askew
The give and take moments lost
Tumble, words turn blue

Dead silence

Call when you love me
My heart is tired of waiting -
Time's hands cover my ears.

Morning comes softly
Just a word wrapped inside a breath
Inhale my meaning

Soft breaths get caught up
Words like wings, spread and take flight
Come and soar with me

you're one the best poets I've come across in Chicago... really I've played with tennessee mary fonz... david hernandez... you're in that league, pretty far up there.. just accept... don't think about that though... it's not a competition, it's an art....  -Victor Sanders (an established sound engineer and one of the most recognizable guitarists in Chicago, working with notable folk/acoustic acts both at the local and national level.)
